Our Client, one of the world's leading contracting companies, has a vacancy for a Project QA/QC Manager with good experience in all phases of an EPC Contract, namely Engineering, Procurement & Construction.
Min. Academic Qualifications:
BSc Engineering or equivalent.HND or equivalent could be accepted if accompanied with strong professional qualifications and experience.
Candidates with Civil Engineering or E&I background only, will not be considered.
Min. Experience Required:
15 years working experience with at least 10 years in QC Engineer/Manager post in oil & gas related projects in a full EPC environment. Middle East experience will be considered as a plus.
Profile:
The right candidate must have the ability to communicate well at all levels within the Company and to demonstrate leadership.
In addition, the candidate must possess very good planning, presentation, negotiations and organizational skills, the vision to identify quality improvement opportunities and the ability to achieve results through motivation and team working.
The candidate should demonstrate a sound experience in the execution of EPC contracts for oil & gas
Principal Duties:
Responsible for the establishment of a fully documented project quality system in line with the Contract requirements and ISO 9001:2000 covering Installation and Pre-/Commissioning.
Ensure that work is carried out fully in accordance with the project quality standards specified in the Contract and that the procedures laid down in the Project Quality Plan to achieve these standards are followed.
Establish field inspection and testing procedures and monitor the quality control activities on construction site in line with the established quality control program.
Supervise a project dedicated team of multidiscipline QC Engineers and Inspectors in performing inspections and testing, compiling records and reporting with regard to all inspections. Authorize inspection and test reports to be submitted to Client.
Maintain a project quality audit schedule to ensure effectiveness of the project quality system
Keep close liaison with the Owner with regard to all site QA/QC issues during all phases of project execution.
