Telecommunications Project Manager Summary
A Project Manager is required to work for a Project Management company within the telecommunications sector based on a project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Primary Objectives & Functions
A key member of the companies Project Management team fully accountable for the effective delivery of projects assigned to you as part of the programme, throughout all stages of the project lifecycle from design through to implementation, customer acceptance and technical transfer into operational use.
Responsible to the Project Director for fulfilling the contractual responsibilities for the projects assigned to you and as covered by the terms and conditions of the Contract.
Responsible for ensuring the successful completion of the projects assigned to you in relation to performance, cost and delivery time scale.
To deputise for the Project Director as requested at meetings and during periods of absence from Saudi Arabia.
Project Manager Summary of Duties & Responsibilities
To deliver projects in line with customers key success criteria:
A full understanding of the customer requirements with the aim of meeting or exceeding major milestones.
To manage the customer expectations by reflecting them in a clear specification baseline, reporting accurately and capturing any variations through the Project Change Control Procedures.
Develop an excellent working relationship with the customer through trust.
Anticipate and be proactive to control all relevant project activities and finances.
A disciplined approach to ensure effective project planning and control.
Ensure risks are defined, acted on, maintained and reported against.
Act decisively and communicate effectively.
Successfully apply lifecycle management.
Regular reviews with the clients senior staff on the progress of the programme and the associated business aspects.
To provide, maintain and implement the necessary Project Management Plans and procedures, including documentation, configuration control and risk management.
Coordination with the Programme Coordination Manager for resources, project documentation, project updates, project plans, project reports and briefings.
Updating the Project Databases as required for the projects assigned to you.
To coordinate with the Managed Services on the handover of projects on the requirements for Transition, Quality Assurance, Integration, ILS, Warranty, Support and Acceptance Testing.
Coordination with the companies Financial Controller for all financial aspects of the projects assigned to you.
Coordination with the Commercial Dept for all commercial aspects of your projects.
Coordination with the Engineering Team on all design, testing, acceptance and engineering documentation production.
Project Manager Knowledge & Experience Required
Essential
Relevant communications/networks first Degree, or HND with appropriate experience.
Formal Project Management qualification or extensive experience encompassing major telecommunications programme.
Must be a team player capable of delivering results with strong problem solving skills, energy and initiative.
Proven flexible approach to working in a pressurized environment to meet deadlines.
Fully conversant with Microsoft software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Access.
Hold a valid driving licence from the country of origin.
Desirable
Business experience in the Defence Sector
Experience of living or working in the Middle East.
Membership of a Professional Institution.
Package
A tax free salary of £50,000 - £60,000 per annum paid in Saudi Riyals
2 Bed Villa with utilities paid (Excluding phone bill)
Car Provided with service and fuel costs

3 flights per year
Bonus depending on personal and company performance
