Planning and Scheduling Engineer

As the Planning and Scheduling Engineer working within the Strategy, Planning and Urban Development Division, you will be responsible for overseeing and providing planning advice on some of the most prestigious and internally recognized mega-projects within the region. This position requires candidates who are pro-active, assertive and detail oriented, and who are capable of handling complex issues whilst ensuring all stakeholders maintain strict adherence to the project schedule.
Preference will be given to qualified candidates who can demonstrate experience in the following:
• Demonstrated experience in both pre-construction and post-construction planning on a wide range of mega-projects incorporating infrastructure, tall towers and mixed use projects.
• Be able to produce Master and detail pre-construction and post construction schedules.
• Overseeing actual project progress versus the planned work milestones, in addition to reviewing consultants’ and contractor’s work program submissions.
• Generating milestones in the pre-construction and construction stages for inclusion in tender documents via detailed discussions with the relevant stakeholders.
• Be capable of producing written reports and power point presentations.
• Preparing, monitoring, adjusting and updating the cost plan and cash flows accordingly and the consolidation of these results in weekly reports.
• Reviewing in conjunction with the Project Manager or Construction Manager any potential changes, and in turn measuring where possible future saving or additional costs can be identified.
Qualification: Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 12 years post graduate experience.
Possessing experience in both contractor and consultancy fields will be viewed favorably.
Demonstrated experience with planning packages including Primavera’s P6, SureTrak and MS Project.
