Senior Mechanical Engineer – Infrastructure Project
Our client is a leading main contractor in Qatar. They are involved in the largest projects in the regions. They are working on a large educational new build in Doha. The civil packages of the project have a requirement for a senior Mechanical engineer to take control of the $20million package. The section is sub contracted out and you will have full responsibility for the supervision of the subcontractors. You will be given full responsibility for the section reporting directly to the Irish Project Manager.
You will be fully responsible for controlling the package. You will have experience of reviewing the design drawings, controlling the program, ordering of materials, and logistics of delivery and supervision of QA/QC. You will interface directly with the client. You will have a can do attitude and a problem solver. You will have a team to control including planner, mechanical engineers and QS’s
The role will suit someone who has main contracting, with experience within the region at a senior level, but is still able to take control of this project on the ground and bring it through to completion. You will hold a mechanical qualification and have a minimum of 15-20 years experience working on external works projects.
The long term opportunity with this role will be that the company wants to set up it own M&E division and you would be the head of this division.
The project will last 18 months but you must have the long term view for this role
