Contract Supervisor Job Description
A Contract Supervisor is required to work for a global leading construction company performing a Project Management Services role on behalf of the client on one of the largest civils projects in the world at present.
The project is to expand the industrial city of Jubail in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. This will include the expansion of King Fahd Industrial Port, pipeline refurbishment, increasing capacity of the cooling system, and new desalination plants as well as a newly built industrial rail network.
Contract Supervisor’s Duties
As Contract Supervisor you will report to the Facility Contracts Supervisor and be responsible for:
Construction contracts as assigned to you by the Facility Contracts Supervisor.
Reviewing contract drawings for constructability
Participating in contracts bid evaluation
Preparing contract change orders and negotiating with the contractor
Analyse construction related claims
Review Contractor schedule and participate in Work Plan input whilst co-ordinating the contractor activity with the work of others.
Contract Supervisor Experience Required
Degree in civil engineering or similar equivalent is essential
Significant experience in construction field engineering and site supervision.
Significant experience of major project work, some of which should have been in construction management in a supervisory capacity.
Construction experience related to railroad network systems, major steel works, concrete structures, excavation, dewatering, cofferdams, formworks and reinforced concrete works.
Some experience in mechanical, electrical, instrumentation associated with railroad network systems is desired.
Knowledge of Primavera P3 and P6, bid evaluation, reviewing EPC drawings, change order preparation and negotiation and reviewing claims are all desired.
